So glad I can get back to work! I am staying true to my monthly mermaid princesses. I just was unable to finish one last month in time. Here’s March’s mermaid princess work in progress. I try to make each one more challenging than the last which means surprises.

Trying to get myself to sketch more from the hand and give Photoshop a break aside from my store illustrations. I missed sketching and hope to do a lot more of it in 2013 :)

Now that Fall has officially greeted us I felt the need to greet it back with a new postcard! Since I love portraiture and I wanted to save Thanksgiving and Halloween for separate cards….i thought it’d be great to illustrate Willow Smith! Her name suits the season well and she has a lot of self expression in her outfits. Fall is a season where people get to self express through layers and layers of fashion making it one of my favorite seasons. And with leaves falling now a days I thought why not share a little “Willow and Maple”. Here’s some work in progress (day 1)
